About RandRate

Helping South Africans Make More Informed Rate Decisions

RandRate is a comparison service designed to help South Africans explore fixed-rate opportunities and understand the differences between available options.

Our Purpose

Make fixed-rate comparisons simpler and easier to understand. Fixed-rate products are often presented in language that obscures the things that actually matter — the term, the conditions, the minimum amount and what happens at maturity. Our purpose is to make those differences easier to see.

What We Compare

Fixed-rate opportunities may differ by provider, term, investment amount, access conditions and other features. We focus on 1, 2 and 3-year terms and on the practical differences between options, rather than on headline numbers taken out of context.

Our Approach

Clear information. Simple comparison. No unnecessary complexity. We don't publish rates we cannot verify, we don't make promises about returns, and we don't pretend that a comparison is the same thing as financial advice.

What we don't do

  • We don't provide personalised financial advice or recommend a specific product for your circumstances.
  • We don't promise a particular return, and we don't describe any product as risk-free.
  • We don't publish rates, providers or product details until we have verified, current information to publish.

Important information

Information on this website is general in nature and is provided for information purposes only. It does not take your personal circumstances, objectives or needs into account and should not be treated as personalised financial advice or a recommendation. Investment products can involve risk, including risk to your capital, depending on the product. Rates, terms, conditions, minimum amounts and availability can change and can differ between providers and products. You should review the applicable product information, terms and conditions — and consider obtaining independent advice — before making any decision.
